Product Information

A 1998 review paper on fuel lubricity worldwide showed that diesel fuel in the US and Canada is some of the poorest lubricity fuel found in the entire world. Of the 27 countries surveyed, only Canada, Switzerland, Poland and Taiwan had poorer lubricity fuel than the US.

These fuels are refined to meet the current EPA restriction of 500 ppm maximum sulphur specification. The new EPA specification of 15 ppm of sulphur scheduled to be implemented in June 2006 will cause a further reduction in fuel lubricity compared to today’s diesel fuel. The impact of Low-Sulphur Diesel can include increased engine and component wear, and reduced fuel mileage and performance.

With the introduction of regulations that are intended to reduce the amount of sulphur released from diesel fuel exhaust emissions, LIQUID BEARING Diesel Fuel Conditioner is chemically engineered to improve the lubricity, and performance, of Low Sulphur diesel fuels to reduce friction and wear of mechanical components of the fuel system and the combustion zone (top end) of diesel engines.

LIQUID BEARING Diesel Fuel Conditioner will break down gums and varnishes, and reduce carbon build-up. LIQUID BEARING Diesel Fuel Conditioner also contains anti-oxidants to improve fuel storage by reducing the effects of water and contaminants within fuel systems. For best results, use regularly in conjunction with other LIQUID BEARING products, combined with a conscientiously applied program of equipment maintenance.

  • Increase slubricity of low-sulphur diesel fuels.
  • Clean fuel system components and lubricate upper cylinder walls.
  • Maximize power, performance and mileage.
  • Increase engine service life.
  • Reduce soot and gum build-up.

Directions for Use:

LIQUID BEARING Diesel Fuel Conditioner can be used at ratios as low as 1:1,200. For best results, start with an initial ratio of between 1:400 and 1:800. Increase or reduce subsequent ratios according to desired level of performance or fuel quality. Add directly to fuel tank prior to re-fueling. For best results, use with each fill-up.

Special notes:

  1. Inspect primary and/or secondary fuel filters frequently after the initial application. LIQUID BEARING Diesel Fuel Conditioner will dislodge contamination within the fuel tank and fuel system and these deposits may be picked up, traveling through the fuel lines into the filters. It is recommended that fuel filters be changed every other oil change.
  2. For maximum benefits, the crankcase zone (bottom end) of the engine and other driveline components should also be treated with LIQUID BEARING Lubricant Treatment.
